"Robert entertained us at the keyboard. We had booked him a year ago but nobody had ever seen his 'act' before so we did not know what to expect. He seemed quite reserved when we chatted at the table but what a dark horse he turned out to be once he was on the stage! He played a bit then went into some (comic) songs we knew and then others of his own or familiar tunes with his own words, some cheeky but never too much so. Out came the various hats or wigs and everyone was convulsed with laughter. It still makes me laugh now."
"Dallas and I would like to thank you for all the good nights you have given the Carlton Court during the time we have been here."
"We've had nothing but compliments about the entertainment on a Wednesday evening. Just this morning two guests said how hard you has worked. All of our guests have enjoyed the evenings thoroughly"
"Performer Robert Lashmar was the star attraction at New Haw Community Centre on Saturday evening when he entertained guests at a special cabaret evening. Mr Lashmar, who calls himself Rhythmic, played the keyboard and sang songs from bands such as Status Quo to musical favourites including Phantom of the Opera. He also impersonated artists such as Elvis, Al Jolson and Stevie Wonder. Rhythmic was excellent, I couldn't fault him."
